About the Burlington Swim and Tennis Club

General

The BSTC is owned and operated by its members. Founded in 1957 as a nonprofit social and recreational club, the BSTC offers its members a private outdoor pool, tennis and club house facility where children of all ages spend their summers learning about social participation, recreational sporting and competitive swim and tennis. The club staff is hand-chosen for leadership abilities and commitment to family values in order that positive role models be provided for the enriched development of young bodies and minds.

Open to Members

The BSTC opens on the last day of school (Town of Burlington public schools) and stays open thru Labor Day. Additionally, the tennis courts are maintained and open to members April thru October.

The BSTC does not allow pets.

Membership

As a private club, the facilities and activities are reserved for members only. There are two classes of membership: Associate membership and Corporate membership. A family first joins the club as an Associate member. Associate members enjoy full privileges, but may not hold office.

Guest Policy

Members may bring guests to the club for a day. The fee is $7.00 per guest. Sign-in at the Snack Shack, or speak to the manager on duty. All guests must then report to the lifeguard for a swim test. A person may be a guest at the club no more than five times a year.

Passes for more than ten guests at a time, must be scheduled with the manager. Passes for more than 25 guests at a time requires Board approval (and is subject to higher rates). Children three years or younger or babysitters 14 years or older may accompany a family at the club without charge.

An adult member host must be present at all times while their guest is on the grounds. Members are responsible for their guests and must ensure they abide by all rules and policies.

Special provisions are offered for out-of-town house guests staying with you for an extended period of time. If qualified, they can be added to your family membership for $30/wk, $120/mo, or $250/yr.

Associate Membership

The current fee for annual family membership is $1250.

This one annual fee covers everything for the entire family: group lessons in swimming and tennis, participation on the swim team and the tennis team -- as well as: all club sponsored activities, such as Family Day, parties and club campouts.
